Journal Entry 1 by guinaveve from Mason, Ohio USA on Tuesday, December 14, 2010
I bought this book to replace this one: Runaway by Wendelin Van Draanen . It was lost in the mail. I received in the mail the mauled remainder of the envelop that I sent the book off in and a piece of paper I could fill out describing my lost item. Despite the description, the book was never returned to me. From the looks of the envelope, it may have been destroyed. I am sending this, along with another book, to the ring originator.

Thank you, guinaveve, for your thoughtfulness on this! You really didn't have to replace it, but I love surprises, so getting this package really made my day! I have been in the process of moving, thus the reason for the late JE. I am terribly sorry about that! I enjoyed this book so well, that I am going to keep it a while longer and reread it before sending it on its journey again. I will do another JE after rereading it. Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! :-)

Very few books do I reread, but I LOVE this book about 12 year-old Holly. I think I like it so well because I used to daydream about running away from home. (No, I wasn't in a bad situation like Holly....just normal teenage stuff that we think is so important at the time.) Now granted....I don't believe many 12 year-olds are going to keep such a well-written journal, so you can definitely tell that it's fiction, but hey, it's a great story...especially the stowaway parts! Thanks again to guinaveve fpr sharing. Haven't decided how I am going to pass it on yet...

Oh, I won!! :)))) I was so happy with seeing all nominations from the Bookcrossers, but I didn't expect to win anything. And now, yuppeee, ypu gave me a wonderful moment, 2 books, bookmarks, postcards, your notes, and a ... ops.. a bookcover? I haven't got such a thing before... At last I used something similar was in my childhood covering my school books with paper. Amazing! Nattabee you are so generous!! Thank you so much!!
