Simply charming book, irresistibly fun. The film Julie & Julia left me wanting to know more about Julia, her time in France, and the preparation of that magnificent cookbook. Now my wish has been granted - and the book is WAY better than the film (but I am glad to have the cover picture of Meryl Streep as the joyful Julia).
This book is like having one of the most fascinating people in the world decide that you are her best friend, and that she wants to have coffee with you so she can tell you all sorts of stories about her life - and maybe even fix you a snack or two. You'll enjoy every minute and every page. Bon appetit!
