I love this book. It really spoke to me. I don't want to say TOO much about it and ruin any of it for the bookring participants who will be getting it. I would like to know what you guys think of it though. Please post your reactions as you finish it? Thank you!

Also, PM me when you need the person's address to send it on to. If they haven't already given me their address, and I can't get in touch with them, we'll move to the next person. Everyone signed up lives in the US, so nobody has to worry about international shipping. Please try to only keep it a week or two and then get it moving along.

Really enjoyed reading this book. Especially liked clay's tape. So many emotions. Even though you know how this one ends, you are hoping that the ending is not what you know it will be. I think the authors point is to reach out to those you know or think might be in need no matter how much they push back. You might just save someone's life. If you don't you may regret it later and there is not much you can do about it then.

Book is starting its travels once again. Happy reading

What a powerful story. Ever since I started reading Thirteen Reasons Why I have been encouraging others to read it. I was easily drawn into the story and my heart went out to both Hannah and Clay. It is a great story that shows how the actions OR non-actions of others can change the lives of others significantly. As someone else mentioned, I think this is a book that should be part of the required reading in high school. Thanks so much for sharing this very moving book, fireyfairy. I have already sent the book and audio off to the next participant.

If nothing else, this is a very powerful book. It's written for the young adult genre, but is just as easily appreciated by a middle-aged adult such as myself. A teenage boy (Clay) finds a package on his doorstep addressed to him. Inside the package is a set of cassette tapes recorded by a classmate. That classmate committed suicide two weeks previously, and her voice on the tapes tell of the thirteen reasons why she decided to do it -- and Clay is one of those reasons. If he listens to the tapes, he'll find out why.

I give this book a high rating largely because of the uniqueness of this plotline. It sucks you in and you can't stop reading until the end. I haven't read a book this quickly in a long time. Regardless of your thoughts on suicide & its validity, this book will make you think. And you'll find yourself continuining to think for quite some time after finishing it.

This book arrived home today after several months of traveling in the bookring. It is in perfect condition (you guys rock)! I really hope everyone who participated in the 13 Reasons Why bookring enjoyed it and came away a more enriched BookCrosser. :D Thanks so much for being part of this bookring: it went off without a hitch.
