10 out of 10

I bought this book for my Secret Santa partner. It was on my wishlist as well as hers, so I read it before sending it on to her. It was much along the same lines as Fast Food Nation and The Omnivore's Dilemma, both of which I also read in the past year or so. Therefore, I was not really surprised with some of the revelations about factory farming and industrialized fishing. I was no less horrified, though, and I think if more people don't realize what their food choices are doing to this planet and its people and animals, we are headed for an unprecedented environmental disaster in this century. We all need to make better choices: cutting down or cutting out animal products from our diets, buying more local foods in season, buying humanely raised animal products, etc.

Mellion108, I hope you enjoy your holidays and have a prosperous new year.

The book now is on its way, along with a fair-trade dark chocolate bar, the brand of which is very popular at our house. Enjoy!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks so much to my Secret Santa, collectorkerri. This book has been on various wishlists of mine for a while now, and I'm so excited to have a copy in my hands. And thanks, too, for the yummy chocolate. I haven't tried the Endangered Species dark chocolate, but because dark chocolate is my ABSOLUTE favorite and because conservation is near and dear to my heart, I think this is the beginning of a bee-yoo-tee-ful relationship. :)

Thanks again for the generous gifts. Have an awesome New Year!
