Journal Entry 1 by dawni from Windsor, Ontario Canada on Saturday, July 26, 2003
Purchased new in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It's been years since I read this one, so I'm not sure I can give a very good review of it, so... from the back cover:
Jane Stuart had lived at 60 Gay Street, Toronto, for as long as she could remember. But life in grandmother's dreary old mansion was anything but gay. Even dear, beautiful mother, who went from party to party, always seemed so sad. For years, Jane had believed her father to be dead - until she accidentially learned he was alive and well, living on Prince Edward Island. And when she spends the summer at his cottage on Lantern Hill, doing all the lovely things that grandmother deems unladylike, she discovers that life truly can be beautiful after all. If only there could be a house like that in Toronto... a house where mother, father, and Jane could all live together without grandmother directing their lives... a house with a magic all its own... FYI, the cover of the actual book is different from the one shown on my bookshelf. dawni

Journal Entry 3 by Somenos from Victoria, British Columbia Canada on Thursday, October 09, 2003
Hello Dawni: Your themed release was wonderful. I saw the book nestled at the bottom of the tree just as the night was getting dark enough for the lanterns to start glowing. It was very exciting. I will have to work hard to make the release as effective. Somenos
