Bought from the Women's Bank charity held in WTC-building this year. Looks interesting.
This is the second Hamish Macbeth story I've read. Pretty much the same feelings as the previous Death of a Nag. Cozy, light, an ok read. Hamish surely breaks the law to be able to invastigate the murder.
I'll probably set this book into the wild. Or not.

This was my first Hamish Macbeth book ever. I've read a couple Agatha Raisin books and I must say I like Hamish more. He is lovable and I enjoyed his connection to other characters. Light and cozy reading as Niksu said.

For me too this was the first Hamish Macbeth book to read... but I do know and love him from the telly, so I wasn't surprised that I loved the book too! I can't wait to read more of his adventures and actually I've already started to read another one:) This book will travel soon (I hope), it is just waiting to share the ride with the other Hamish-book...:)

I have read a lot of the Hamish Macbeth murder mysteries now and I have come to the conclusion that all the little quiet " crime-free" villages and towns around where Hamish lives in deepest remotest Scotland, seem to be full of murderers, blackmailers, thieves, fraudsters, liars and seductors!! Crime just follows him around! Although good old Hamish solves almost every crime in his part of Scotland, his superiors, mainly Inspector Blair, still give him a very hard time! Pity he is not lucky in love either!Another very enjoyable read in this series.
I am giving this book to motherof11. She will read it and then pass it on to pinkoeria in the UK.

What a well-traveled book! I really like the Hamish Macbeth series, so I am excited to have another one in the series.
Another lovely, light Hamish Macbeth story. Poor Hamish, will he ever find love?
