Hello Kind Reader,
Just a quick note that I've registered this book at BookCrossing.com, so that I can keep up on where it goes, who reads it, and what they thought of it. Please make a quick journal entry, then pass the book along to someone else who will appreciate it. We can all track this book's journey and the lives it touches forever more!
There are no strings attached and I don't get anything out of it...I just want to share the love of reading through the act of bookcrossing! If you do choose to join you can list me, princess-peapod, as the member who referred you.

Reading the blurb on this book without seeing who the author was got me to pick up this book. It was not the most well written teen-young adult book I have read in recent times, but it had an interesting premise which entertained me for the evening. To be honest for me it was not worth the $11 I paid for it, but I doubt I am the target audience for this book anyhow. I feel the characters could have been more developed and found many things to be quite implausible...and I am not talking of the mystical elements within the book. Here is to hoping it's next reader will find more to like than I did!
"Second hand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack." --Virginia Woolf

"A book is a mysterious object, I said, and once it floats out into the world, anything can happen. All kinds of mischief can be caused, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. For better or worse, it's completely out of your control."
Paul Auster

so sorry! didn't realize there was a BCID in here until I opened the cover this week! received via PBS a few months back. I actually got my hands on an unabridged audiobook from the library last week so read it that way instead. I'm going to be listing this in the PBS YA Virtual Box when it's my turn.
I'm hoping there is a sequel to this? There are far too many unanswered questions just hanging out there.... but overall, considering it's from a teenybopper music star, it wasn't that bad at all!
