My rating: 4 of 5 stars


The story of Joe, who left his small town and wrote a book chronicling the events of his childhood. When his father becomes seriously ill Joe goes back home for the first time and faces the wrath of the townspeople. Very realistic in my opinion. the kids you went to school with pretty much turn out the way you expected. It is the adults that surprise you. The story with his best friend from high school and his family dynamics were especially touching.
I will be on the lookout for more books by this author.
