Ops not sure how it happened, but I never did journal it when I found this at the Bookleggers event at Lester's about 2 months ago! I am really thrilled to chance upon a BC book there. Bookleggers is a pop up library that appears at different locations in Miami once a month. The way Pulp-Addict and I keep picking up each other's books, they can almost make a movie out of it!

GoryDetails has a graphic novel bookbox making its round, so I plan to read this and put it into the box when it comes my way.

This is a crime mystery, about a man Martin who finds his wife missing and him becoming the prime suspect. The tale itself is exciting enough and the concept of juxtapositing what Martin the writer wrote and what is happening to him in life is interesting, though at the end I was still a bit confused about the details.

I've heard of Bookleggers, and it sounds like a great concept; it's fun to know that this book was part of it.

This graphic novel switches between Martin's past & present, and throws in stretches of Martin's own writing for good measure...so it can get confusing, especially as Martin starts to find answers to the many mysteries in his life.

The "Bronx Kill" of the title makes more sense if you know that in this case "kill" is being used with a double meaning: in addition to the more common meaning, a kill can be a body of water like a stream or a creek. As I suspected, it comes from Dutch, which explains why it turns up in place names in the northeastern US.
