I tried one Elmore Leonard and didn't care for it; I'd probably have given this one a try anyway if I hadn't been trying to put together a new bookbox. Going out in my re-started cassette audio bookbox.

Arrived in an audiobookbox the other day.... plan to listen to soon....
I've now listened to several books by this author, and have found them all enjoyable, this might be one of my faves by him - something about it really gripped me...
I do have one criticism, though - and I know this sounds kind of nitpicky, and could be with the editors of the audiobook. The pronunciation of "Cape Girardeau", the town in Missouri, had the accent on the wrong syllable. I believe that matters like this are normally researched pretty thoroughly but looks like somebody dropped the ball this time....

Boy, oh boy, what a bad BookCrosser I am! This arrived on my doorstep FIVE YEARS AGO in an Audio Bookbox Ray sent on by BigJohnLefty and I promptly put it on top of a bookcase in a Spare Oom and just recently discovered it. I'm going to get it moving again!
