WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Enjoy and please remember to pass on for others to enjoy too :-)
Picked up at the Coffee Club OBCZ this morning when I popped in to drop off some books.
Looks like an interesting story - I wonder if it was inspired by the Ballantynes fire?

Well I was right - according to the acknowledgments, it was inspired by Ballantynes, but transposed to Auckland, for some reason.
Pretty standard disaster-story format - about three quarters of the book is devoted to setting the scene and establishing sympathy for the characters, with the actual fire reserved for the last quarter.
Not a bad book, but Stevan Eldred-Grigg did it so much better in Gardens of Fire.
