this book isn't what i expected but i actually really enjoyed it. It's 2 interwoven stories one set in cairo 1920's and the other is set around a women seeking shelter in a french monastery in the present day and how they come together... a good thriller x

Sorry this has taken so long to get to, my TBR pile just gets bigger and bigger.
I'm not sure how I feel about this book, I sort of enjoyed it but I'm also left feeling frustrated by it. The settings are wonderful, I've been to Mont Saint Michel and so could remember a few of the places described, Cairo sounds very exotic and I would love to visit. The writing was very patchy, some of it very overblown and at other times very simplistic. The plot was good but the ending lefy me feeling very cheated.

Looks good, I been to Mont St Michel too & love it so am looking forward to reading about it as a setting. MAny thanks, Yorkshire-lass, and apologies if I don't reading it for a while, I've got a Mt TBR that has taken on a life of its own!!

Really enjoyed this book, planning to add it to the Church fair book stall to find another appreciative reader.
