I'm easily pleased. A box of books in the mail today. Whoopee. Thanks. Shall read and release.

Update November 8th, 2004 --
This is next after The Mermaid by Bettina Krahn, c. 1997 -- link goes to blog as the book is from booksfree.com -- see entry of Nov 5, 2004.

I collect quotes as I read. These ones are fun, poetical, or even philosophical. Take what you like, and leave the rest. Note that these aren't necessarily the "best" in the book. These happen to be close to the spot where I stopped reading each night.

"In a perfect world, that's what we all want. My world has veered sharply off course." p30

By the time she got home, she was feeling well and truly sorry for herself. Finding Jeb on her front stoop didn't improve her mood.
"I've come to eat crow."
"Sorry. I don't have any." p160
[comment: i thought this was a nice retort]

A really cute book, both the hero and heroine were likeable(when they were supposed to be :oP) and the plot was interesting for a series romance (not that they're always bad or anything). Very well-written, Sherryl Woods hasn't disappointed me yet! I'll be looking out for more of the Delacourt series.
