This book was alright. It wasn't what I expected from reading the back. The synopsis mentions a village "where folks communicate with one another solely through chalkboards hanging from their front porches." It sounds intriguing, but it isn't really a whole village, just a few people and it isn't about that anyway really.
The story is interesting enough, just not what I expected.
