This wasn't exactly what I expected, not as humorous. It was alright though, and I learned a lot about Mennonites.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

To the used book store. I have way to many books sitting around my house and need to make some room. They are falling out of the closet and off my dresser.

I can't believe it! I found another one of your books, guinaveve, at the AAUW Book Sale at Towne Mall in Middletown. I think I found another one a few years ago. Anyway, I love memoirs and this one sounds intriguing. I look forward to reading it.

6 out of 10

Interestingly enough, I met a Mennonite woman at a recent writer's conference. We were talking about books and she mentioned this one --rather disparingly, I might add. She felt Rhoda was not completely honest about leaving the Mennonite faith and then returning. The woman I spoke to knows her and sees her at conventions every year.

I also agreed with this woman that Rhoda had some really meaningful things to say about her marriage and her feelings about her husband, but she buried that under somewhat insulting belittlements of Mennonite customs.

About two-thirds of the way through, I lost interest.
