This was the first time I've ever found one of these "free book" bags, so thought I'd give it a go! I found it in the student village in Turku a few months ago.

I must admit this book isn't really to my taste, I'm not particularly into erotic(ish) thrillers, but once I got into it I did find myself invested enough in the characters to be interested in the eventual outcome. The author's writing style is pretty casual, it feels like spoken language most of the time, and the whole thing is heavily Americanised. The story wouldn't be out of place on the big screen, although the crux of the book is a really love story between a girl in her twenties and an older man, making the whole thing feel a bit more like a soap opera at times. Nonetheless I did enjoy parts of the book.

In spite of my low rating of this book I am sure that it would be popular with its target audience, and realise that as a guy in his mid-twenties I probably don't fall into this category!
