" A murder mystery involving the lust for words as a motive for crime finds detective Jean-Pierre Foucheroux investigating the murder of the President of the Proust Society and discovering that a missing Proust manuscript had been found and lost again. "
Good read - a mystery set in the cozy world (not!) of literary endeavors, in which the author (Elyane Dezon-Jones) works.
There is a second mystery in this series. If they are in it, I would like to see what happens to the two police officers. Interesting characters.

This book is already on its way to Annimanni in Finland who chose it from the Murder in Translation VBB, along with Bethlehem Road Murder.
Thank you, looks good!
Yes, this was quite an enjoying whodunit, made particularly interesting by the setting: the academic and literary circles and the Paris region. Thanks for sharing, eicuthbertson!
On its way to the winner of the Books, tea and chocolate sweepstakes. Enjoy!
Oh, dear, could I be the winner?
Thanks for this fantastic box you put together for me.
This seems like an interesting read.
From the back cover: "...even the minor roles are fleshed out to perfection, as in one of Hitchcok's thrillers". Intriguing!
Thank you, looking forward to reading it... :)

This is now safely in Edinburgh. Thank you for this and the tea!
I enjoyed this novel because of all the petty rivalries and academic snobbery of the characters, mixed in with the intricacies of small town / village life. It was good fun. Thanks for sharing this one. I hope to get it travelling again soon.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Set free in the LFL which was looking a bit bare. It's the festival so we have a lot of international visitor just now, so fingers crossed for a journal entry. Happy reading!
I did enjoy this book. I do not know much about Proust, but this doesn't affect the enjoyment of this book. Only criticism is that the ending was a little quick, there was room for a few red herrings or another twist.
