Remembering Sarah: A Thriller
1 journaler for this copy...
Dropped 10 books off at Twiggs; picked up three.
Definitely a page turner, I was tempted several time to turn to the last page to see what happened to Sarah. I did not see the ending at all.
Make sure you have time to just sit and read when you begin this book. You won't want to stop once you have read only the first page. I love the type of book that grabs me from the very first page, it is rare to find such a book nowadays. I guess because I read so many books. I usually know if I have a book by a favorite author that I am good to go, but Chris Mooney was unknown to me. I did'nt expect it. I had read "The Missing" by him and enjoyed it, but this book is on a whole different level. This is much like a Harlen Coben novel as it is very suspenseful and full of twists. A father brings his six year old daughter sledding and she disappears. The police begin their search, but don't find her. It then skips forward five years and then there is one turn after another. I won't go into detail, but the characters are well rounded, the plots is suspenseful, the story is quick and easy to understand and keep track of. I hate it when an author bogs the story down by giving too many details, but this book is perfect. The way the dad is portrayed and the way he fights to discover the truth about Sarah and never gives up is touching. As a parent it is certainly a story I could relate to. You won't be sorry to pick this book up and I can guarantee you will like it if you enjoy the mystery and suspense genre. I hope Mooney becomes very successful and I can't wait to read another book by him.
