I'm so glad I finally read this important book, though parts of it were incredibly difficult to read, it was such a relief to be able to set them against one of the best stories of humanity and compassion to come out of the Holocaust.

This novel was very well written and did a good job depicting the events that occurred then. I am glad I finally read this book.

Picked this up at the October/Thanksgiving meeting, so thankful for all my friends in BookCrossing. Despite it being a long weekend and their being snow on the ground, we had 11 attendees and LOTS of books.
