Thank you! It has arrived safely!
In my opinion while the story was good, it is also very long-winded and quite dull at times. But it's another book off the 1001-list.

Arrived safely. Looing forward to this book. Nabokov is one of my favourite authors and I haven't read this one before.

Definitely not an easy read. Both subject matter and style initially raised my hackles. I nearly gave up within the first 50 pages, but after that was glad I persisted. I enjoyed the peculiarities of Nabokov's parallel world. Some of the jokes I couldn't work out, but there were so many I did not feel too much left out.
Glad to have read this, thanks for passing it on.
