F U, Penguin: Telling Cute Animals What's What

A gift from my daughter on my birthday. Funny - sometimes hilariously so and sometimes just enough to cause a 'curve of the lips'.

Very kindly given to me at the 10th annual Bookcrossing Convention in Washington DC. I'm flattered to be considered an FU Penguin kind of girl. Looking forward to a few laughs.

I would agree with SpedBug's assessment of this book. It was really funny in parts (usually those parts that didn't invovle the swearing which wore really thin, really quickly as it was so repetitive). The author has a wonderful skewed way of looking at the world and could have used this to better effect I think. Anyway, this collection of cute animals terrorised me on the train journey to the Nottingham Unconvention (UK meetup of Bookcrossers) and during my few rest periods. I've sent the grotty little animals packing with another Bookcrosser who doesn't mind a swear or two :-)
Thanks for sharing your birthday gift with me and the greater Bookcrossing world.

Oops I thought that I had already caught this book and my only excuse is that I left for Germany only a couple of days after I had been at the Nottingham Uncon. Loved the photos but the descriptions got very tedious after a while. Still it was a fun read.

This book did get a bit tedious but thought that you might enjoy it.
Looks like fun.
Thanks!

Fun, but got a bit repetitive towards the end. I suspect it works better as a blog where you only get one entry at a time, rather than reading it as a book.
