WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I approached this with a little trepidation as I thought it might be a little "heavy" (I read for pleasure, not to torture myself) but was pleasantly surprised. The "voices" are those that lived wit Ken Steele for 30 years and which finally were controlled, giving him a few short years of peace before his death in 2000. It is a pretty harrowing story and he tells it as it was, warts and all. However, the eventual release from his voices demonstrates that miracles do happen and the story is well written.

This sounded interesting. Particularly in connection with my work, where we have a pitiful amount of training in mental health issues.

Although most people, myself included, probably think they know what schizophrenia is, this book is an amazing and heart rending account of Steele's life with the condition. Not only that but he worked tirelessly to help people with mental health problems. Cried at the end when I found out that he had died so young. (I don't read previous journal entries until I have read a book.)

Thank you for sharing! Highly recommended.
