Wow. Read this in one sitting while supposedly watching game 7 of the World Series. Obviously, it had my interest. It's the story of a 9 year old boy who is with his mother during the shooting and bombing outside the funeral of Archbishop Romero in San Salvador. She is shot and taken away from him, and the story of his experience of the war between the guerrilla forces and the army in his country unfolds from there.
