I took the book to the Calgary BC Meetup at the Joshua Tree Cafe.
Picked at at BookCrossing Calgary meet-up. Will put it on my "to be read" pile. Thanks.
This was a new author for me and I gobbled the book right up. Certainly a modern fairy tale, I will look for more books by this author. Thanks for sharing, rureading!
Will be released at the November BookCrossing Calgary meet-up at the Joshua Tree Café.

Picked up at the November meeting; how is it that I invariably end up coming home with more books than I bring?
ETA: I'm trying to get through some books for mysteries so I won't get this this on for Feb meeting so I loaned it to my mom.
ETA#2:
Mom is coming to the meeting so I powered through this one so she'd have something to bring.
I thought the premise of this book was really interesting and there were several really loveable quirky characters. I loved the father, Henry, so warm and endearing yet hilariously out of step with the modern world / affected by a touch of alzheimers.

Interesting ideas. Makes you wonder where the author got the idea.

Taken to the Feb. meet-up to be traded or left on the shelf.
Picked the book up at the Joshua Tree Cafe Bookcrossing meeting on Saturday. It was my first meeting. It was great meeting you all and trying to sort out whom was who!
Interesting idea that a person can get memories from someone who donates blood to them.... or so that is what I think the book is about. I will take the book with me on my mini vaction to BC for the long weekend and see if I get to it.... have so many books now as I brought 4 more home from the meeting!

Passed on at BC get together
Description was: after a woman receives a blood transfusion after an accident she begins to get some of the memories of the man who's blood she received. Part normal fiction, part magical realism and part romance. Picked up at the Unusual Expressions of Love bookcrossing meeting.
This was a very speedy read, which I finished in about 2 days while not finishing my homework.
It wasn't a bad story, but it wasn't great and didn't seem to have much direction to it although the sequence where both Joyce and Justin are initially doing exactly the same things at the same time is cool.

I'm taking this to the Calgary BC meeting tomorrow, lets see if anyone wants it.
