Whereas the Oxford keeps overhauling itself, this one is still the business; nicely balanced between canonical (ie familiar) and individual choices, this was the first general anthology to respect original spelling. It is the BEST - obviously not up-to-the-minute and ever less so (first published 1956!) and all the better for that. Thank goodness the publishers resisted the temptation to 'update', rejig or otherwise meddle; they must know it can't be improved!

Thank you seethroughfaith! I always enjoy leafing books like this, so I'm putting it in my permanent collection. It was also nice to see you. :) Unfortunately the Swiss never showed up, but we still had good time.
