Advance copy in paperback.

"Farnsworth House, a.k.a. the Hippie Hotel, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, is a place where divorced parents bring their children for a summer of wholesome outings and compulsory fun. It's not exactly Tracy's idea of the place to spend her vacation. Her father has dragged her there, along with her brother and sister, for Farnsworth House's annual 'Together Time' retreat."

I received this book from a kind friend. I know I won't have the time to read it immediately, so I plan to send it off on a bookring journey for a while.

Pretty good -- The narrator's got some ideas about herself and her place in the world. It's a good summer read for the pre-adolescnet or adolescent girl. I enjoyed the setting of the "hippie hotel" a lot Made me wish I could go there for the summer!

Pretty good...narrator was believable, but I felt the story wrapped itself up a little too neatly.

Sending to lightwavz in Detroit, MI.

I kind of share sejent's thought that it wraps up too easily. And after reading the Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison, I was expecting something more action-packed and angst-ridden. It was a cute story, but Tracy's character seemed a lot younger than her age, especially in the beginning. I think that it was a good read for pre-adolescent girls. Not at all too grown up. Definitely a PG and nothing more. Sending this one on to MsPooh tomorrow.

Rec'd today. Will read soon, and release to the next home.

~~~It was a good book, but as previous journals have stated, it seems to wrap up a little too easily. Altho, I would have loved a place like The Farnsworth House when I was growing up with divorced parents.....
Don't you just love it when the ending of a book is all wrapped up in a neat little bow? Ugh. This book was too lame and predictable. Everything I expected would happen, did. In the last chapter. Nice little bow, see?
Maybe I would have gotten more out of it if I was a 14 year old with divorced parents....
Moving on to kayters tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this, kristamd!
This was a good read. Not the best in YA fiction, but good, nonetheless.
