Wow. I loved this novel! At first, I found it a bit slow, but once I got a few chapters in, I was racing through it. The characters are great. Really think this novel deserves its place on the 1001 list.

I had trouble getting into this book. But eventually managed to get through it. Was a step outside my comfort zone in reading and I am glad I read it, But will probably steer clear of similar books.

I enjoyed the book despite none of the characters being particularly nice. The book was alittle slow in parts but in others moved quite quickly.
I am glad I read it.

I'm really struggling with this one but am now about 200 pages in. I plan to hammer it over the weekend and get it posted out next Saturday. Thanks so much for your patience and I'm going to get back to reading it now xx

I found this book rather tedious at the beginning but I did warm to it once it got past the first few chapters about Chip. The stories of all the individual family members were enjoyable and I really felt for Enid and the Christmas she really wanted. Thanks for sharing Lucy and sorry I kept it so long xx
