A Clockwork Orange (Penguin Twentieth Century Classics)
5 journalers for this copy...
This is another novel I have put off reading for years. The reason I gave myself for never picking this one up was that I thought it would be hard to understand the dialect it's written in. My boyfriend and I decided that we would read the same book, at around the same time, so we could talk about it afterwards. This was his choice, and I was really dreading it, but surprised myself by racing through it. I thought it was pretty amazing.

I struggled a bit with the Language in this book when I first started reading it. Did not help that I was trying to read it on a bus. This book needs to be read in a quiet place as it takes a bit of concentration to understand the dialect. But I quite enjoyed the book. I will probably see the movie at some point.

I really enjoyed this book. Once I got used to the language, and quicker than I thought, it was an easy read. I like the fact that the language used can be read differently for every person that reads the book. I took toofles to mean slippers and this is now my favourite word. I love toofles!!! What a fab word!!!
I will get the next address and get it on its way.
