'Once there was a widow with three sons, and their names were Black, Brown and Blue. Black was the eldest; moody and aggressive. Brown was the middle child, timid and dull. But Blue was his mother's favourite. And he was a murderer.' "Blueyedboy" is the brilliant new novel from Joanne Harris: a dark and intricately plotted tale of a poisonously dysfunctional family, a blind child prodigy, and a serial murderer who is not who he seems. Told through posts on [email protected], this is a thriller that makes creative use of all the disguise, deception and mind games that are offered by playing out one's life on the internet.
I couldn't put this book down! It's very different from other Joanne Harris books, but stll brilliant. Full of dodgy characters & with some great twists - I can't say too much or I'll give the ending away - but I didn't suss out what was happening till the very last page.
Sending to karen07814 as a RABCK, from her wishlist. Thank you for sponsoring me!
wow! thank you! an unexpected rabck. I'm so looking forward to reading it. A note in it says "thank you for sponsoring me"
Did you complete your challenge? and how much did you end up raising for who?
thank you

Definitely a pick it up and read to the end sort of book. Even if you have an idea what the outcome is likely to be you need to check. Clever twists in it with the characters and one to concentrate on. Thanks for sharing. I'm off to find someone else who wants a read.

over to you (depite cheating)
The book dropped through my letterbox this morning and frightened the dog! From looking at the reviews on the back, it looks as if it might frighten me too when I read it. I'm putting it on my bedside table as I've nearly finished my bedtime book. When I'm done, I promise to offer it as a RABCK.
Nearly forgot to say - thank you very much Karen for sending me the book. I've enjoyed Joanne Harris in the past and I'm sure I shall enjoy this one just as much.

Unlike the other readers of this book, I didn't like it. :0( I found it much too sinister for my liking and actually didn't read it through to the end. Totally unlike other Joanne Harris books I have read and enjoyed.
I'm reserving it to pass on to my sister Bookcloud when next we meet up. Her tastes in reading are usually very different to mine so I'm hoping she will enjoy it.

Meeting my sister Bookcloud tomorrow and I will pass the book to her then.
Wow thanks sis! Tis one that I probably would have purchased anyway. This is going right to the top of TBR mountain!
Way too dark for me! Going to pass this on to S-I-L. Hoping she'll like it.
Hoping you'll like this one.
