This is a compelling story of a young man who wanders around the country by foot/hitch-hiking, and ultimately ends up in a remote area of Alaska. Christopher definitely hears his own drummer; he doesn't quite fit in with other people and so continues to search for meaning in his life. Even if you've seen the movie, this is a must-read.
