Edit April 28, 2021: I enjoyed this breakdown of the probability and means by which such beings could exist, could communicate between us, or that we could become the other worlders. Although I think his numbers end up being very much too optimistic, especially in all these decades since SETI has come up empty. And his method of examining each element of the possibilities does get a bit tiresome toward the end, even if it is necessary. But overall, this is well done. I currently have this ranked at #177 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
