Just listened to the introduction so far, but love it. So much info packed into the very beginning! Never knew how unusual Australia is.

Bryson doesn't sound like I thought he would. Sort of a British accent, sort of snobby Bostonian, and I don't think he has ever been to Boston, other than to drive through and comment on our crazy roads in Lost Continent. However, I'll get used to it and I'm sure I'll come to adore his voice as much as his writing.

Will post more when I have listened to it all. This may become a ring, but will always stay in my collection.

Madder than cut snakes. That's all I'm gonna say.

That was quicker than I expected! I sent an email to Zmrzlina today because I wasn't sure this would arrive before I moved house, and what should be waiting for me on the coffee table when I got home from work...? Thank you :-)

I can't wait to listen to this, I'm going to get started on it this evening :-)

I really loved this. It took me a while to get used to Bryson's accent, but once we'd sorted that out everything was good. Except maybe his remarks about cricket... :-) It's full of random information about Australia, and I don't think I want to know where he found some of it...

I'm sending this on today, although I only reached CD 6, because I've had this a while now and I still don't see the time when I'm going to be able to finish listening to it. I think I'm going to get hold of the book and finish the parts from that.

Arrived in the mail -- thanks for sharing! I'm planning to start listening to it immediately (thought I'd work on my ToBeMended pile, which is almost as big as my ToBeRead pile, while I listen).

I love this book, and I love Bryson reading it. The only problem is trying to do anything else while listening, since I had to keep pausing the CD so I wouldn't miss parts while laughing so hard.

Sending it on to Grover3d today.

Another book to go missing...the fifth audiobook for me. Very discouraging.
