I read this some time ago so can't recommend a particular story, but it's a good showcase of new writing.

Picked up at the last Perth BC Meetup - was waaaay past my book limit, but I've heard many good things about the Cramer/Hartwell anthologies so I've added one to my 'to read' list :-)

I really enjoyed this short story collection - very consistent in terms of quality and several stories had me thinking back to them after I'd finished. Favorites included 'Arkfall' by Carolyn Ives Gilman, 'Pump Six' by Paolo Bacigalupi, 'Fixing Hanover' by Jeff Vandermeer, 'Exhalation' by Ted Chiang, and 'Memory Dog' by Kathleen Ann Goonan.

I'm off to Melbourne and will take this with me to release while I'm there!

Released 13 yrs ago (9/5/2010 UTC) at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in Melbourne CBD, Victoria Australia

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I've released this book at Aussiecon 4 at the convention centre. I've left it in room 208 (I think!!) it's the games room and the book is in amongst the games on the table.

Caught during AussieCon, this book was engrossing enough that I've only just found my way out again to log it. The only downside was that, by its very nature, several of the stories were already familiar. On the upside, they're all worth rereading.

Currently slated for a controlled release.

I don't usually read science fiction but I found most of the short stories really interesting
