A Confederacy of Dunces

Perhaps it's all the Jonathan Swift I've been reading lately, but I thought this book was a brilliant modern version of an older, sharper, and more devastating kind of satire, equal parts Swiftian and Rabelaisian. I realize I may be the last person to read Toole's posthumously published classic, and certainly not the first to find it utterly hilarious, but that did not stop me from reading whole passages, including the 10-page account of Ignatius's failed attempt to stir up a workers' revolution at a sad local pants factory, aloud to my boyfriend, who read the book years ago himself, like everyone else I know.

Received in the mail. Always exciting to receive a book with a BCID under a million!
I'm taking this with me to Spokane. If I finish it there, I may do a wild release.
