I am rather sure, I have read already one book from this author and I liked it. I am interested in stories located in ancient Rome... And Poseidon/Neptun is my favorite god... so I had to take this book. Thanks for sharing!

I like stories that are located in ancient Rome and if it is a mystery, it is even better. I already read one of the Marcus Didius Falco stories some years ago and liked it. This one was nice as well and one can imagine strolling through Rome with its insulae and cauponae where Didius Falco's late brother has hidden a genuine Greek Poseidon or Zeus statue. I am not convinced, that the author is very accurate in some Roman details, however the story was a nice read, therefore I don't care too much. (Would be interesting to know, what any of my former Latin teachers would say - especially the one, who loved to hang in the wall and reciting Latin poetry)...
