Hardcover with no dust jacket. Picked up from the free shelves at the YWCA to re-read for the Chills & Spills challenge. This is a banned/challenged book, although I just read it and I don't remember anything standing out as "graphic descriptions of sexual acts"..I guess I wasn't paying enough attention?! It's not about this specific book, but I thought this essay on censorship from Stephen King's website was excellent reading.

Still great stuff after all these years. Unfortunately this turned out to be one of three books with main characters on the run from mysterious government agencies that I'm reading/listening to at the same time (the other two are Alan Dean Foster's Jed the Dead and Dean Koontz's Dark Rivers of the Heart), which got to be a bit much, but who can resist Charlie? She's such a great kid...
