Bookends

Bookends is light plot driven escape into the lives of 4 London 30-somethings, pals from college days. While they might be a bit cliche' : the sophisticate, the gay guy, the young insecure heterosexual male, and the slightly overweight smart girl, I found them heartwarming and very charming. I loved the bookstore setting and found the main character Cath (the in-her-eyes-slightly-overweight, but in reality 'normal-sized' one) very interesting and charming. All in all, a light, quick, fun read and not 'frothy' like I was expecting.

I found the book when Interrailing in Scotland, when Interrailing, there is a lot of train time, and I thought, "well what the h... i might as well read", I took it with me to Denmark where it will be left at the bus station, just like the place i found it.
I got it from a friend of mine, who had collected it in Scotland. I'm going to realese it today it's not my kind of book!
