On its way to Aylesfor Priory!
How many years did The Da Vinci Code sit at the top of the Best Sellers list?
The lure of this book is less that it is a fast paced thriller, more the subject matter.
I read The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
What intrigued me as much as the subject matter, much of which I was already familiar with, was the number of examples of synchronicity I encountered whilst reading the book.
Just one example: How often does one pick up a book by an unknown author, let the book fallen open at a random page, and there find two people you personally know, one of whom had been in contact the previous week?
It has never happened to me before or since, but did whilst I was reading The Da Vinci Code.
Summer of 2005, I found myself at Lincoln Cathedral on the film set for the film.
I would also recommend Angels and Demons, which also features Robert Langdon, but not Digital Fortress or Deception Point, which are bog-standard run-of-the-mill thrillers.
Far better to read is the illustrated version.
