Journal Entry 1 by southbos3279 from Boston, Massachusetts USA on Tuesday, June 08, 2010
Nicely researched - and written - bio about Evelyn Nesbit and the 'crime of the century (even though it was only 1905). Readerw will also come across the Nesbit/White/Thaw relationship in Doctorow's novel Ragtime, which is an excellent book. But 'American Eve' was done well. Hard to sympathize with the fates of White or Thaw for what they did to Nesbit. Her life seemed to be a precusor to other 20th century celebrities.

Journal Entry 4 by amyem at Algiers, 40 Brattle Street, Harvard Sq. in Cambridge, Massachusetts USA on Tuesday, November 09, 2010
Released 1 yr ago (11/10/2010 UTC) at Algiers, 40 Brattle Street, Harvard Sq. in Cambridge, Massachusetts USA WILD RELEASE NOTES:
It appears that I never wrote a note after I read this. I did enjoy it, a story I knew vaugely at best. Orginally I thought it would be a light and breezy tale but it turned out to be more scholarly than I expected and that made it a better book. Planned for release at November Boston Book Crossers MeetUp

Received this in a box full of books from Nillabreen. Thanks so much! These will be released at the OBCZ soon. ETA 9/1/11 - I think I actually want to read this one, so I'll be adding it to my stacks. I'll try not to keep it there too long. Thanks again, Nillabreen!
