Tried again to read it but again failed... I've tried to like the film but can't get past Nicholas Cage who seems all wrong... However I've heard the author live, playing his mandolin and telling tales, and had a great evening.
I found it in Smallburgh church and it's been loitering back in Norwich bu at a different address since then so hasn't started its real adventure yet. I'll be sending it off with some Kendal Mint Cake soon and hope it's gentle introduction to bookcrossing thus far has given it enough confidence to stray further this time.
