My own thoughts: One of those improving books. It did little to improve my mood, since I spent most of the third part mentally vomiting and feeling obscurely guilty about it. Feeling less Christian than previously. Oh well. Also, not impressed by TEH KAFLICK MENNISS ZOMG, though it was heavily hinted that the only person who actually went over to Rome was unlikely to be any happier than she was in the ONE TRUE CHURCH OF ENGLAND AMEN. Deeply problematic on the race level: you know how Mansfield Park is fuelled by unspeakable atrocities in Antigua? That. But rather more problematic, as we hear rather more of it.
