What Smurphie said! Loved hearing Tom Baker in this :-)
This arrived safe and sound with me and I’m really excited to hear it! I’ve just started a big cross stitch and instead of listening to films, I’ll try a book. I saw the show in London’s West End years ago and loved it. Will release it as soon as I can.
I’m not sure I would have enjoyed reading the actual book, as the story is a little bizarre. But I found it very exciting listening to this adaptation of the story. There was such a interesting build up to the climax, which was a little bit of a let down. I found it rushed, after such an extraordinary journey to get there.
I actually really enjoyed listening to a story for a change. It kept me in good company with the ironing and sewing. Got much more done as I wasn’t distracted by images to go with the sound (like my usual habit of having the TV on for company). I have now had a bit of a eBay binge of more audio CDs. Thank you so much to all previous listeners for sharing it, so it found its way to me (especially Diane—Fraser!!).
