Picked this up for 20p at a Walthamstow family fun day. Used to buy Viz all the time back in the day, so this should be quite interesting.

This was pretty fascinating. Viz was an absolute phenomenon. Personally, I loved it for quite a while, and still have a few back issues tucked away somewhere. This book really captures the speed at which the comic grew, and how that impacted upon the life of its creator and the other contributors. These lads went from putting together a fanzine for their own amusement, to being the creative force behind the third biggest selling magazine in Britain! Incredible stuff.
This book deals with both the extraordinary rise and the gradual decline of Viz. While it's a bit slow to get going, it's well worth persevering with to find out how classic characters like Roger Mellie, Sid the Sexist and Mr Logic were spawned.

Lent this to a mate who expressed an interest. Don't know if I'll see it again.
