I found this at the second hand book shop and thought it would be good for a vbb that is coming up soon.
From the back cover;
' Josie Lee travels from her home in Australia to a small island off the coast of China to bury her grandfathers ashes. There she discovers the old Lee mansion - now sold to a developer - and a web of family secrets stretching back over generations.
Unknown to Josie, it is time for righting old wrongs. And as the last of the Lees, she must do the paying. Soon they will all gather ont he Goddess Rock where, long ago, a betrayed woman cursed Josie's ancestors.
Spanning the twilight years of the Treaty Port Era, when Chinas armies were constantly on the march, to the present day, On the Goddess Rock is a richly imagined tale of two families whose destinies are inextricably entwinded.'

This is another one I really enjoyed. But ouch! This book got lost somewhere. It was supposed to be heading for azuki. Now it is on its way again.
Was about to offer this in the Passport vbb when I realize that I haven't even journalled its arrival months ago. Very sorry about it.
