Black Dog

This copy has the original not the re-release cover, which is all to the good in my opinion.
I bought my first copy of this as an afterthought in a Waterstone's (or previous incarnation thereof) promotion and took years to get round to reading it.
I had some familiarity with the places in the book and now I am living in Booth's setting and that is the main appeal of the books for me. It is a somewhat patchy series but Ben Cooper, the native, is a likeable police officer and Black Dog did whet my appetite for more

By hand to a friend at Goward House
Received in a birthday parcel from a friend in UK who has recently moved to Derbyshire. This novel is set in the Peak District and met my expectations for a good British mystery.

Compelling plot...great feeling for the setting of the mystery....am looking forward to reading more books by this author
I quite enjoyed reading this book. Will look for others by Stephen Booth.
Bought from Thriftbooks.com. It was on an order from Arizona. I was interested in starting a new series.
