This book arrived at the perfect time.I finished my current book last night and was wondering what I should read next out of the many that I have waiting for me. I like to give Bookrays my first choice.
Thank you Tabby-Cat-Owner for starting a ray with this interesting looking book.

I am so glad that I signed up to read this book. It is one of those that is difficult to put down. Violet is abandoned by her mother, left in the care of an unfeeling father and loses her arm in a horrific factory accident at the age of sixteen.
She boards a bus planning to travel to California to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead, her whole life changes when the bus crashes in North Dakota.
Thank you Tabby-Cat-Owner for sending this book on a journey. I will send it on its way when I get the address for the next reader.

I popped this book into a Special envelope and it will soon be winging its way to Ontario. It is such a good book . I'm glad I was able to take part.
This book was waiting for me when I arrived home from work tonight...my husband had picked it up at the Post Office. So exciting when a new book arrives unexpectedly! I've just started one of the other Summer Read book rays sent by tabby-cat-owner which I hope to finish this weekend, and then I can start on this one. So glad to be part of this Ray!
Sorry to be late with this JE . . . the book was mailed last week and is on its way to JennyC.
This was a book that I found very worthwhile to read, and I'm glad that it came my way. The story line and characters were unique and I quickly became involved and drawn into the story as it unfolded.

The book is here! I will read it soon and pass it to the next person! Thanks for sharing!
I thought this book was okay, but not as good as another book by this author. Patty Jane's House of Curl was wonderful! I liked the characters in this one, but I felt the story wasn't as good as the other book.
If you like this type of story you might like these authors: Susan Gregg Gilmore, Adriana Trigiani, Fannie Flagg.
When I have Easterngirl71's address I will send this one on to her. Sorry that I have had the book for over a month!

I'm so sorry I have kept this book for so long! easterngirl71 asked to be skipped, so I sent a message to collectorkerri a request for their address.
Sending to collectorkerri today to continue the Bookray. Enjoy the book!

I believe I have read one or two other books by this author, but I think I liked this one the best. Violet was a likable character, even though she sometimes could be rather acerbic. Could you blame her, though, with the kind of upbringing and experiences she had? It seems she mellowed a lot by the end of the book. I liked reading about the band's early touring days through the Midwestern U.S., as that's where I've lived my entire life.
The book is off on the final leg of its tour, headed to Esme-Weatherwax in Ireland.

Thanks for sending the book on collectorkerri and for hosting the ray tabby. I look forward to reading the book and passing it on to someone else who I think might enjoy it.
