Wow! I'll really look forward to reading this one! And thank you for the postcards and bookmarks too!

An elegant tale of intrigue and betrayal, with a satisfying number of twists so that the reader is never entirely sure who to trust. The language is stark and forthright, adding to the grey atmosphere. One to exercise the little grey cells! A good read!

A RABCK

Received today in the mail as an overseas RABCK! Along with a postcard from Suffolk Co. Thank you! Excellent, this was next in my chronological list of John Le Carre to read.

Newish Great Reads (London) hardcover, edition as sold with the Daily Express Newspaper, of the 1963 classic spy thriller. This was on my list of best past thrillers to read.

I can let this go after I read:
1961 Call for the Dead [read 2009]
1962 A Murder of Quality [read 2010]

To be read and then set aside for release at the Panera Bread meetup, 7030 Amador Plaza Rd., Dublin CA, 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Edit November 15, 2010: This was a taut and short British Cold War spy thriller, I rather enjoyed it. Not always an easy read, a bit hard at times to follow the intrigue, but that does not detract from the ominous atmosphere it delivers.
