Journal Entry 1 by ravencat from Lancaster, New York USA on Sunday, May 16, 2010
From the cover: Towner Whitney, the self-confessed unreliable narrator, hails from a family of Salem women who can read the future in the patterns in lace, and who have a guarded history of secrets going back generations. Now the disappearance of two women is bringing Towner back home to Salem-and is bringing to light the shocking truth about the death of her twin sister. UPDATE: May 30,2010 First of all do not let the setting of this story (Salem) define its plot in that you think it is all about witchcraft because it is not. It is a suspensful story of Towner Whitney who has the psychic gift to read the future in lace patterns. She returns to her hometown after 15 years to deal with the disappearance of her great-aunt Eva, which sparks a saga of suspense, passion and magic. There is enough mystery, disturbing past, and other stuff in here to keep your interest and the ending is sure to get you. If you've ever been to Salem, MA, you can feel your way through this story and even if you have never been their the authors way of describing the city and landmarks is great! No special rules but please be considerate to the next person waiting and if you need more time just let me know. Journal Entry 8 by NancyNova at Lansdale, Pennsylvania USA on Sunday, July 18, 2010
Still reading...it is good, but can't do too much at one sitting or I start missing the "little" things. I already had to start over once...I was in the middle of the book, put it down for a day & when I picked it back up it didn't make sense. Some of it due to the writer's style and the "unreliable" narrator of Towner. You get lost with trying to figure out what real and what's not (or what is a kind of sort of memory). PM'g the next reader again....if no reply, will move on the the NEXT one.

Journal Entry 9 by NancyNova at Coral Springs, Florida USA on Saturday, July 24, 2010
Loved it. The "twinness" and not knowing what was REALLY real made it very much like "The Thirteenth Tale" but characters and setting much different. Was Towner sane or not? Did the happenings happen or not? i won't spoil anything with my opinions, but I already have a running dialog with one of my Fla book club members. I'm sorry to miss their meeting because I'm sure this one will generate LOTS of discussion. Off to the next reader in the ray from the South Florida house today!

Journal Entry 16 by WigglyWoods at Chorley, Lancashire United Kingdom on Thursday, September 09, 2010
So sorry - this arrived on Tuesday and I 'read a few pages' when I opened the envelope and forgot to journal it's arrival. Suffice to say that a few pages turned into the whole book and I'm now ready to post it on its way! What an excellent book, it drew me in and didn't let go at all - I could quite happily go back and re-read it I think. Thanks so much for the opportunity to read it. Will post on as soon as I have mrbaggins' address.

I'm canning this one as I don't seem to be in the mind space to read it. I was about a 100+ pages in but keep getting confused about what is truth and what is lies and who's who and related to whoever. Thanks for sharing - I'm contacting the next in line. The books cover was in a bad state of repair when it arrived and I'll fix it before sending it on.
