Edit March 2012: Someone just gave me another copy of this book. It's not in as good condition as this one, and is not a BC book (yet). So I think I'll keep it to read and find this copy another home via BookCrossing (perhaps in one of the VBBs).

I haven't read a 1001 book for a while and this one caught my eye. It combines several things I like: a 1001 book and so a well written book and maybe one I wouldn't have otherwise read, set in a different culture, and an author I haven't read. Looking forward to it.
