Journal Entry 1 by lemming from Somerville, Massachusetts USA on Wednesday, May 12, 2010
Tal Talita bought this book for me and for many of her other friends, with instructions to pass it on... and on... and on. It seems within the spirit of bookcrossing.com, so I am giving it an ID here before passing it on to my own friend.

Journal Entry 2 by lemming at Cambridge, Massachusetts USA on Wednesday, May 12, 2010
Released 2 yrs ago (5/12/2010 UTC) at Cambridge, Massachusetts USA CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES: This book convinced me, more than any other book has, that factory farming is something I'd like to avoid supporting. Foer repeatedly states that family farms don't have the capacity to support everyone, at current levels of animal protein consumption, but I live in a state where a lot of humanely raised meat is available. My primary reaction is that I wish the practices described in the book were illegal; let humanely raised, respectfully slaughtered meat cost whatever it costs. Until then, I can try to eat in alignment with my principles, but will probably not completely succeed. My other reaction is that maybe I should read some of Foer's fiction; that's what he's famous for, after all.
